Elevator and 8 months old!

As many of you know we've been living in our building without a working elevator for waaaay too long. As of last week, it is working!! This is some of the most exciting news of the summer for us :) Here is a picture of Jack and me on one of our first rides!


Jack's monthly pictures are getting more difficult as he is not happy to have to sit still for more than a few seconds at a time. But, we tried our best with the 8 month pics:

At first he was a little annoyed at having to do this again, then he was a little bored with it all....

Here's Jack with a couple of his favorite toys - his yellow rattle and his dog, "Roscoe," named after our Chicago neighborhood:

He is especially attached to the yellow rattle (as you can see in his 8-month pictures). He brings it everywhere and holds on to it in and out of all the stores when we're out running errands - on occasion, he even insists on taking it with him to sleep!
