Chicago weekends

We've been happy to have the past couple weekends at home to enjoy Chicago. Last weekend we made a trip to the zoo - we've done this before but this was the first time Jack really was able to enjoy it. His favorite part was definitely the cows in the "Farm in the Zoo" section - Brian and I only lasted a few minutes in that smelly barn but Jack thought it was fantastic. Of course, Jack gave all of the animals plenty of cheerful waves throughout our visit.

We also had a little BBQ with some of our friends, including Jack's buddy Nicholas. Jack was too busy playing to actually look at the camera, but we took a few pictures anyway:

This weekend we had our first taste of fall weather - it was a crisp but very sunny and beautiful Sunday, so we took a nice walk by the Lake (Jack sometimes wants to "walk" instead of riding in his stroller - which also means a few tumbles):
